Ella Sri Lanka

Anyone walking rocky area like Ella can see gorgeous landscapes around. One of the attractions of Ella is Nine Arch Bridge. It is located between Ella and Demodara Railway stations.

The interesting thing about Nine Arch Bridge is that steel is not used in constructing the bridge.

 Horton Plaines National Park

Another popular tourist destination in Sri Lanka is Horton Plaines National Park, which is located at 8 Km from Ohiya. It is a grassland interspersed with montane forest. Animals like leopards,deers and sambar can be seen in this forest.

Birds lovers can see birds of many species. In this park you will see very steep cliff, World’s End and Baker’s Falls.

Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya, the capital of Nuwara Eliya district, is an attractive place to visit and is located in central province at an altitude of 6128 feet. It is the coolest place in Sri Lanka.  Landscapes with tea plantations and misty mountains attract anyone who visit Nuwara Eliya.

In April of every year it is difficult to find accommodation in Nuwara Eliya, as sri lankans visit this region for Sinhala and Tamil new year holiday vacation. Any one visiting Nuwara Eliya can see several English style buildings; of which are post office, Grand Hotel, Queen’s Cottage, General’s House.

In month April there are horse racing and motor racing events which attracts Sri Lankan and foreign tourists. Some of the Nuwara Eliya town’s attractions are Lake Gregory and Victoria Park.
