Another botanical garden situated in Nuwaraeliya district is Hakgala Botanical Gardens
It is situated at a distance of 16 kilometers from Nuwaraeliya. The garden was started after the year 1860 but it was establisted as a botanical garden in the year 1884. More tourists are attracted due to the deferent varieties of orchids and roses found in this garden.
