Another tourist destination at Trincomalee district is Nilaveli Beach
Nulaveli town is located at 16 kilometers from Trincomalee. After the tsunami and civil war in Sri Lanka,the arrival of tourist decreased but now it has increased again. Near Nilavel Beach there is a Sri Lankan national park known as Pigeon Island National Park.
